The summit provided an in-depth overview of Saudi Arabia’s ambitious $880 billion giga projects program, uniting key figures from government agencies, developers, contractors, and leading voices in the construction industry.
Key Contributions and Progress
Salman Alhubeis, Executive Director of Delivery at New Murabba, contributed to the Keynote Leaders panel discussion titled ‘Update on the Key Development Plans of Saudi Giga Projects.’ Alhubeis highlighted the significant strides New Murabba has made in laying the foundation for Mukkab, the centerpiece of the development.
“We’ve excavated over five million cubic meters of material, demonstrating our commitment to building momentum and making New Murabba an attractive proposition for investors,” Alhubeis noted.
Additional insights were shared by Raymond Rice, Head of the Master Plan Delivery Division, who detailed the New Modern Downtown, and Thomas Nilsson, Executive Director of Delivery, who led engaging workshops on Al Mukkab’s iconic structure and development timeline. These sessions fostered valuable discussions and insights into the project’s progress.

New Murabba embodies the essence of Saudi Vision 2030, focusing on sustainable development, innovation, and creating a dynamic hub for residents, businesses, and visitors. The project will feature one of the world’s first true 15-minute communities, where every resident will be within a 15-minute walk of essential amenities, including schools, hospitals, shopping, and mosques.
